Nourishing Winter Hand Scrubs

Handmade scrubs are excellent for making your skin soft, smoothing, healing dry, rough skin and removing dead skin. For your hands, they can be used once or twice a week, I wouldn't recommend more than that, you don't want to dry your hands out.

Banana .&. Brown Sugar Hand Scrub-

Mash up 2 Bananas, mix with 3/4 cup of Dark Brown Sugar or (Extra Fine Granulated Sugar) and 1 teaspoon of Olive Oil. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to use. Use the scrub for 2 days.

Almond .&. Honey Hand Scrub-

Grind a handful of Almonds to a fine powder, mix in 1/2 teaspoon of Pure Honey, and add in enough Milk to make a smooth paste. Use immediately, this shouldn't be stored.

Lemon .&. Brown Sugar Hand Scrub-

In a small jar mix together, 1/3 cup of Olive Oil (or Coconut Oil), 2/3 cup of Brown Sugar, Juice of 1/2 a Fresh Lemon, a pinch of Lemon Zest. Mix together well, cover with lid and store in the fridge. (use twice a week)

Brown Sugar .&. Vanilla Hand Scrub-

In a small container or jar, mix together 1 cup of Dark Brown Sugar, 1/2 cup of Vegetable Oil, 1 Vitamin E liquid gel cap, 1 teaspoon of Pure Vanilla Extract , and 1 tablespoon of Pure Honey.

Remember after doing a scrub, make sure to apply a good moisturizer. Olive Oil and Coconut Oil are very good natural moisturizers, you can even use Petroleum Jelly to soften your hands, all of these work wonderfully.

Enjoy! :)

*Apple Cider Vinegar .&. Mouthwash Foot Soak*

I was seeing a lot of posts lately about the Vinegar and Listerine Foot soak, so I decided do some research and try it out for myself and I absolutely loved it!! My feet were feeling so relaxed during the soak and afterwards they felt so soft. I would definitely recommend it! :)

THE BENEFITS OF USING APPLE CIDER VINEGAR/ WHITE VINEGAR TO SOAK YOUR FEET-

- White Vinegar/Apple Cider Vinegar has disinfecting properties that help to fight or help to get rid of bacteria. It's very excellent in fighting and curing Toenail Fungus.

-Vinegar helps to get rid of calluses, warts, dry, cracked heels, tired, sore and achy feet.

-Helps to get rid of odor (smelly feet).

-Excellent for treating mild forms of Athlete’s Foot.

THE BENEFITS OF LISTERINE TO SOAK YOUR FEET-

-Listerine contains a number of herbal oils that have mild anti-fungal activity in an alcohol base.

-Listerine is excellent for fighting Toenail Fungus and bacteria.

-Listerine contains (Thymol) which is an extract of thyme- It is used medicinally to wipe out fungi and bacteria. It's used to make mouthwash by combining it with Glycerine as well as used to treat nail fungus infection.

HOW TO PREPARE AN ACV .&. LISTERINE FOOT SOAK:

Mix 1 cup of Mouthwash Generic OR Listerine, with (I also added 6 drops of Lavender essential oil), 1 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar (or White Vinegar), 2 cups of warm water. Fill up an old, clean big bowl or plastic container (big enough to soak your entire feet), then soak your feet for about a 20 minutes to a half an hour ( while reading a book, magazine, listen to relaxing music, whatever you choose). Remove your feet one at a time, scrub the bottom, (heels) with a foot pumice, stone, or a clean towel, the dead skin will start to come off, place your feet back in the soak and rinse. Dry your feet and apply, massage, a good, rich moisturizer or Lavender oil on your feet. (Lavender oil is very calming) Your feet will feel so soft and wonderful when done. You will love it!

I Hope You All Enjoy This Soak Just As Much As I Did. :)
